Inline Diagnostic: Ultrasonic Inspection (UT)

High-Resolution Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Measurement

Direct and extremely precise assessment of pipeline wall thickness anomalies.

Ultrasonic inline inspection (UT) represents the state of the art for measuring the actual remaining wall thickness of liquid-filled pipelines. Operating on the principle of acoustic pulse-echo time-of-flight, the UT smart pig directly measures the distance to both the inner and outer pipe surfaces, providing absolute measurements of corrosion, metal loss, laminations, and manufacturing defects.

The direct-beam ultrasonic smart pigging technology developed by "NGP" LLC offers exceptional accuracy in determining the geometric dimensions and depth of defects. This highly reliable evaluation guarantees system safety while minimizing operational maintenance and labor costs.
